Domino’s Gets Set To Launch The New Reggae Reggae Pizza
Domino’s Pizza is getting ready to launch their special edition Reggae Reggae pizza from this April. Featuring the original Reggae Reggae Jamaican sauce from musician Levi Roots, the Domino’s Pizza will be available as both a vegetarian and meat option with the latter topped with chicken, tomatoes, green peppers, pineapple and mozzarella. Many franchises across the UK will be running their own special promotions on the Reggae Reggae pizza ahead of the official launch. In addition, Domino’s will also be introducing specially branded boxes to further advertise the launch of the Jamaican inspired pizza this coming month.
Wyclef Jean Shot In Haiti
Wyclef Jean has been shot in Haiti on the eve of presidential elections on the Caribbean island. The singer was shot in the hand just after 11pm Lastnight and was rushed to hospital for treatment. Wyclef was treated at hospital and was later released following the attack in the city of Delmas, just outside the capital Port-au-Prince Haiti. It is unclear who the gunman was or if he was caught.
Barbados Government Denies That Jamaican Woman Was Finger Rape
Barbados government issue a statement that there is no truth to a report by a Jamaican woman who claimed she was finger-searched before being denied entry into Barbados last week. The Barbados government is however planning a high-level meeting with the Jamaican High Commissioner to Trinidad to try to prevent any major fallout between the two countries as a result of the media hype surrounding the incident. 80 Year Old Jamaican Man Charged With Trafficking Cocaine
A 56 year old Jamaican woman and her 80 year old father have both been charged for cocaine trafficking. Jennifer Hall and her father Derrick Hall are both charged with possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine and taking steps to export cocaine. The elderly man was arrested at the Sangster International Airport on March 15 after eight packages of a white powdery substance resembling cocaine were allegedly found in two bags he had checked in. His daughter was later held after the father told police she had packed his bags.
Richard Prince Ordered To Destroy Artwork In Copyright Breach
The American artist Richard Prince has been ordered to destroy works worth tens of millions of dollars after a court ruled that the paintings, which reworked a series of photographs by the French photographer Patrick Cariou, had breached copyright. A New York federal court has ruled that Prince and his gallery infringed Cariou's copyright when he produced a series of works in a 2008 show using 35 pictures from the book Yes, Rasta, published by Cariou in 2000. The ruling, which may lead to an appeal, stands to cost Prince and the Gagosian, one of the world's leading contemporary galleries, with outlets in London and New York, potentially huge sums. Britain's Royal Wedding To Be On Sale On  iTunes
Prince William and Kate Middleton can go straight from Westminster Abbey to your iTunes playlist. Royal officials say that for the first time in history, the entire April 29 royal wedding ceremony, including the couple's vows, will be released digitally within hours of the service though Britain's Decca Records to online retailers such as iTunes. Decca Records, which also recorded the wedding of Prince Charles and Diana, says the album will be produced by multi-Grammy-nominated producer Anna Barry. Musicians confirmed to perform at the royal wedding include the Abbey's choir, the Chapel Royal Choir and the London Chamber Orchestra.

David "Smiley Culture" Emmanuel, died of a suspected stab wound in his Warlingham house, in England. Smiley Culture died when police with arm with an arrest warrant for him had raided his house at 7am Tuesday March 15, 2011. Emmanuel had been due to face trial next week having been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine. Emmanuel’s biggest hit was his 1984 single 'Police Officer'.

The Broadcasting Commission of Jamaica (BCJ) has directed the management of Nationwide News Network (NNN) Limited to immediately discontinue transmission of Kingsley 'Ragashanti' Stewart's popular call-in radio programme, 'Ragashanti Live'. Claro To Be Sold To Digicel
America Movil has announced that it has entered into an agreement with Digicel Group to acquire 100% of Digicel’s operations in Honduras and El Salvador. As part of the transaction, America Movil will sell Jamaican subsidiary Claro to Digicel. The completion of the transaction is subject to governmental and regulatory approvals in Honduras, El Salvador and Jamaica, among other conditions, and is expected to be finalised during the second quarter of 2011. The financial terms of the transaction have not being disclosed, although it has been reported in the Jamaican press that there will be a net cash payment to Digicel. Gunmen Shoot Up Jamaica Police Station
(AP) Gunmen brazenly shot up a police station and later swarmed inside a public hospital to rob doctors and nurses in a gritty city just outside the Caribbean island's capital, authorities said Friday. On Friday, gunmen invaded Spanish Town Hospital and robbed staff of money, phones and jewelry. There were no immediate reports of any injuries. National Security Minister Dwight Nelson said intelligence indicated the gun attack late Thursday in the southern city of Spanish Town was in retaliation for the deaths of three alleged members of the Klansman gang by security forces last weekend. Ganja Worth $18m Found In Container Shipped From Jamaica
Police recovered over T&T$18 million (J$240 million) worth of compressed marijuana concealed in a 40-foot shipping container at the port of Point Lisas, Trinidad on Wednesday. A bout 12 suitcases was found stored among boxes of pressure washers inside a 40-foot container at an industrial property at Point Lisas Industrial Estate Property Development Company between 4.30 pm and 11.30 pm on Wednesday. The container left Jamaica on February 25, arrived at the port of Port-of-Spain on March 1 and was transferred to the Point Lisas port last Friday. Jamaica Defends Human Rights Record At The UN
The UN's human rights council is reviewing a report by the Special Rapporteur on torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment in Jamaica. The officer visited Jamaica in February 2010, and according to the UN, said that torture, did not constitute a major problem in Jamaica. However, he found that there is a general atmosphere of violence and aggression in almost all police stations, as well as discriminatory practices against detainees.
Jamaican Accused Of Killing Wife In Green-Card Marriage
Orane Ferguson met his wife at his brother's funeral. At only their second meeting, she suggested they marry. He was Jamaican and, with his visa expiring, would have to return to his homeland. It was never a happy union, and less than three years after they married, authorities say Ferguson killed his wife, stabbing her more than 50 times. The 31-year-old is on trial this week, charged with first-degree murder in the July 20, 2008, death of Lenora Michelle Ferguson, 35. Rodney 'Bounty Killer' Pryce had his bail extended to March 31 when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court Today. The artiste was charged for possession of marijuana. It was Alleged that Bounty was seen smoking along Grenada Way in New Kingston Jamaica in October 2010. He was held and searched and a small quantity of the drug was reportedly found in his possession. Bounty was arrested and charged for possession marijuana.
Royal Caribbean Crewmembers Arrested For Cocaine Possession
A pair of Royal Caribbean International crewmembers were busted for drug possession on Thursday Feb. 24 2011 in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The crewmembers were both Jamaican nationals working on the 1,950-passenger Grandeur of the Seas The bust was confirmed by Royal Caribbean, which said that while the Grandeur was docked in Montego Bay on Feb. 24, Jamaican authorities detained a crewmember and found that he was in possession of 18 kilos of cocaine. Authorities then boarded the ship and found an additional 15 kilos in the cabin of a different crewmember This is the fourth time since December that Royal Caribbean has been in the news for drug busts on its ships.
