    Biography...

Shari is originally from Portland, Jamaica. The singer and songwriter recognised her passion for music at the tender age of eight. Being exposed to different genres of music at an early age has had a lasting impact on the artiste's unique style. This impact comes from listening along to her mother playing souls, pop, country and western tapes, to developing a personal taste for R&B, hip hop, and reggae. Inspired by artistes such as Tanya Stephens, Beres Hammond and Beyonce, just to name a few, Shari has developed a high level of versatility. Shari focuses on singing and writing a fusion of music: reggae and R&B, with a commercial twist.

This singing sensation started off years ago as a soprano singer in the community choir, where she had her first taste of stage performance. She performed at the city's festival and other private functions. Shari is now a member of a reggae band called Hardway Family and has been a member for some years now. The band performs in London, at city and town festivals, pubs and clubs, and also private events.

Shari is a recording solo artiste, as well as a backing singer. She collaborates and writes songs for other band members. Shari's lyrics are inspired by a combination of personal experiences and the experiences of others. Using her passion and talents, she aims to tell a story through her songs.

In March 2011, Shari had her first single release, Kitty Cat, produced by Hardway Records and Freeze Production. The track features fellow band member, producer and deejay, Willy P.

Shari has recently completed the video shoot for her upcoming single on Willy P's What's Going On Riddim, which is set to be released later this year. The Hardway Records artiste is scheduled to work with some Jamaican producers on future productions.

Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. The melodic singer/songwriter Bridgett “Bridgez” Roache has had a passion for music from a very tender age. She began writing and singing in a group at church at the age of 11. It wasn’t long before the group split but Bridgez continued to write music and record her songs as demos on her computer. At the age of 16 Bridgez joined a group called “3 wishes” which was arranged by Norman Chambers aka “Doom” son of Jimmy Cliff.

The group lasted for a while but wasn’t going in the direction that “Bridgez” hoped for so eventually she left the group. After some time Bridgez decided it was time to go solo. She entered contests and auditions but none seemed to come through. She did her first professional recording with upcoming producers David “Hizzle” Hayle and Jordan McClure from Chimney Records. She recorded two songs under their label Have Fun Tonight And Distracted.

Looking for variety of “riddims” Bridgez started working with other producers like The Legendary Producer “Jack Scorpio” who was impressed by her sound. He decided to work with the young artist. She recorded two songs under the Black Scorpio Label “If Love’s A Game” and ...

By the late ’80s, hip-hop was on its way to becoming a male-dominated art form, which is what made the emergence of Salt-n-Pepa so significant. As the first all-female rap crew (even their DJs were women) of importance, the group broke down a number of doors for women in hip-hop. They were also one of the first rap artists to cross over into the pop mainstream, laying the groundwork for the music’s widespread acceptance in the early ’90s. Salt-n-Pepa were more pop-oriented than many of their contemporaries, since their songs were primarily ...
