Dating a Jamaican.

Hi Everyone,

I am dating a Jamaican and am confused about some cultural differences. Maybe someone on here can help challenge my perspectives.

My bf will not have anything to do with oral sex. I understand the beliefs, I am just confused about why he feels it okay to receive. Is it supposed to be a two way street in Jamaican culture? Do women give oral and not receive regularly? I have read it is for religious reasons he doesn't, but does religion only specify the man doesn't?

He says he would do it for the right woman (that woman he says is me) but in his own time. I do understand that but that could also be seen as a passifying tactic. Whatcha think?

He says it has been a problem in every relationship he has had and I asked him why not just date a woman of the same culture to avoid the challenges. I received the answer above.

He has never dated a girl of color. Once he dated a girl that was half white and half black but that was it. When I ask him why that is he shares with me that Jamaican or colored women are gold diggers and are *****y. I find this racist and stereotypical. I have read other reasons for this way of thinking as well. I have read that he can then use cultural differences to get away with things he couldn't with a Jamaican woman? Any ideas on this?

I really need the perspective of a few Jamaican men.

now its not written in stone alot of jamaican men do oral sex but wont admit it. it seem like he been hurt so he is going to the extreme all woman from all race have their bad ways
