Post Jimmy Cliff To Be Inducted Into Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame

    jimmy_cliff_big.jpg
Jamaican ska and reggae star Jimmy Cliff is set to be inducted into
the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March. Cliff, born James Chambers,
is being inducted into the Hall of Fame Foundation along with ABBA,
Genesis, The Hollies and The Stooges.

The ceremony will take place on March 15, 2010 at the Waldorf Astoria
in New York City and will air live on Fuse, Madison Square Garden`s
national music television network. Cliff`s `The Harder They Come` album
and movie introduced reggae to a worldwide audience and changed the
image of the genre from cruise ship soundtrack to music of rebellion and
    inspiration.

Song's Like "I Can See Clearly Now", "The Harder They Come", "You Can Get
It If You Really Want", and "Many Rivers to Cross" made the 61-year-old the
first international reggae superstar and created the model that Bob Marley
    soon followed.

    Thumbs up Way to Go!

I am so happy and proud of Jimmy Cliff. Way to go! Jimmy Cliff is a true legend, taking reggae music to levels and higher levels!

The two videos brought back a lot of memories and brought me to tears. If only we, as a people, could get in touch with our roots, then we would know what reggae music is all about. Modern culture makes that impossible! Thank God for reggae music. Real reggae music.
